Blind people behind the wheel.
Virgina tech and the National Federation of the Blind plan to demonstrate a prototype vehicle that helps a blind person drive a car independently. The technology called "nonvisual interfaces," uses sensors to let a blind person operate a car. The sensors transmit information about his surroundings.One interface called drive grip is a pair of gloves that vibrate over the nucles indicating when and where to turn. Advocates for the blind consider it far fetched. They think its just like John F. Kennedy's long shot to land someone on the moon. There going to test it this next year in Daytona, Fl. They will select a blind person to drive on a track near the Daytona
